Dative Uwamwiza the executive secretary in the National Women Council in the western province of Rwanda calls called upon women to always be updated about what is happening around them especially listening to news on radio, Television and also to read the newspapers available to them.
Concerning the impediments to the development of these women especially lacking access to the news, it was revealed that some radios are as cheap as Rfw1000 and some newspaper get to the sector like ‘Imvaho nshya’ and Ngororero district’s magazine so women should take advantage of them and get informed.
Women in Muhororo sector were also told to make use of trainings given by DOT –Rwanda in using technology and surf internet for the world news especially since there are many computers and electricity in this sector.
Though some of the women said that what they need is not to hear news of what is happening in the world but means to survive though they were told that one thing leads to another and information is vital in a person’s development.
Apart from being informed about the news all over the world particularly in Rwanda, on 5th.Jan.2013, women were told to work together and to make action plans that will be achieved and stop begging for survival from their husbands.
