Police seek offender who wore motorcycle helmet

An armed offender who robbed a Sunbury convenience store while wearing a motorcycle helmet to hide his face is being sought by police.

In CCTV footage of the incident released by Victoria Police, the offender is seen wearing a yellow and black Suzuki motorcycle jacket, black motorcycle helmet, jeans and runners

Armed with a knife, the man entered the convenience store in Gap Road at about 2.45am on Sunday June 2 and made demands for cash. A police statement said that the offender “fled on foot with some cash” and then headed east along Gap Road.

The Caucasian offender was said to have a solid build, be aged in his 40s and be about 185cm tall.

The statement said it is believed that the full face dark helmet worn by the offender had stickers on the side.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
