Parents of Gisagara especially mothers are ready to eradicate malnutrition
Women in Gisagara district say malnutrition will be eradicated soon depending on lessons delivered in the Parent’s Evening Program and the Village Nutrition School Program which facilitate the fight against poor eating trends.
In the said two programs, women are taught how to prepare nutritious meals and the benefits of health eating.
Gisagara district is one of the districts still affected by poor nutrition especially among children. The district is employing available methods to completely eradicate malnutrition.
Through Parent’s Evening and the Village Nutrition School Programs, parents are taught how to prepare well balanced and nutritious meals especially by using vegetables and fruits.
Cecile Mukarurangwa the community health worker in Mareba village says in Village Nutrition School Program they teach parents about benefits of health diet and how to prepare those meals.
