Women scale promotion of Parents’ Evening Program

Mothers in Nyamasheke District have been urged to value teachings offered in the Parents’ Evening Program and encourage their husbands to attend for positive impact on families.

According to Parliamentarian Marie Josée Kankera on Thursday December 19th 2013 during her presentation to 230 women she said that the Parents’ Evening Program has provided solutions to many issues affecting Rwandan communities.

“This program provides the platform that brings people together, families and neighours and promotes Unity and Reconciliation” she said

Ms Kankera added, the Parents’ Evening Program should be given more time and value so that parents can discuss about their family matters

Nyamasheke women were also asked to start seeking out financial services offered by financial institutions and banks.

“You should start saving to raise enough capital and invest as well get loans when necessary” advised Ms Kankera.

The mayor of Nyamasheke District Jean Baptiste Habyarimana appreciated women participation in the development and other social and economic programs.
