Women in Tare sector, Nyamagabe district appreciated their involvement with the different cooperatives in this district which they said has helped them develop.
This was said during this month dedicated to cooperatives which started on the 10/07/2013, and will be concluded on the 10/08/2013.
“Uniting with others under cooperatives has helped our families develop which we could have never achieved if worked selfishly”, said the women from different cooperatives.
“Getting formed under cooperative has helped me develop since even when I have no crop production I can still be able to get from my cooperative”, said Dative Kampire a member of an Irish potato and Wheat agricultural cooperative.
She added on saying that she can now be able to get loans from her cooperative which still has helped her develop plus her entire family
Kampire said that she has a cow in her home now from which she can get milk for her family; one of her children had completed University with another to finish soon all because of her being in a cooperative.
These women therefore called on others to join such cooperatives since this will help them develop hence become self-reliant.
“Here you will be able to get development ideas, get loans which will all help you start projects hence develop”, added on Beatrice Nzabucuma from COREGA cooperative.
On his visit to Tare sector on the 1/08/2013,the district mayor Philbert Mugisha therefore called on different cooperatives to always get required documents and also to always set up development projects which can help members develop easily, calling them on to work well with different financial institutions which can support them with the developed projects.
“The main reason behind encouraging people to get formed under such cooperatives is to help them join forces, discuss problems they face and hence find solution through such cooperatives”, noted the district mayor.
